The Sydney Retreat

Last night BTB Architecture Studio were very pleased to receive a Commendation Award in the Marrickville Medal for Conservation 2021. The award was given for The Sydney Retreat, 223 Trafalgar Street Stanmore, as part of this year’s Inner West Council’s Built Environment Awards.

Congratulations to all who received awards on the night and a special thanks to all involved in making The Sydney Retreat a reality.

The Sydney Retreat

Some more great photographs from The Guthrie Project for our recently completed project in Stanmore.

The Sydney Retreat represents a non-clinical, mutual-help approach to the problem of alcohol and drug dependency. Based on a highly successful model that originates from Minnesota. The Sydney Retreat will foster a supportive, educational setting that is grounded in the spiritual principles of AA. The result is an innovative residential recovery facility providing time-out from daily life, in a safe and supportive environment.

Congratulations to John Malone and the team at The Sydney Retreat who opened their doors at the start of the week. It was a pleasure working with John on the project over the last three years. Also a special thanks to Bill Tabikh and the team at Everbuilt for delivering an excellent result.

The Sydney Retreat

Great to be on site yesterday with Ben Guthrie from The Guthrie Project photographing our recently completed project The Sydney Retreat.

The Sydney Retreat is a not-for-profit residential facility for recovery from alcohol and drug dependency. Located in Stanmore NSW, the facility is due to open in February.

A few initial images to give a taste of the project, more to come. Everbuilt Pty Ltd were the builders on this project.
