Government House Amenity Building

BTB Architecture Studio has been involved in the design of a new amenity building at Government House in Sydney. The amenity building will be an accessible unisex toilet located close to the female lavatory building.

The new amenity building is part of a range of projects BTB Architecture Studio are involved it at Government House. They include paving refurbishment to the Eastern Terrace and upgrades to staff area and guest accommodation kitchens & bathrooms.

The Sydney Retreat

BTB Architecture Studio was recently involved in a Pre-DA meeting with Inner West Council for The Sydney Retreat project. The proposal was well received and we are now working toward developing the proposal to lodge a Development Application with Inner West Council by the end of March.

The Sydney Retreat

We are very excited to have been engaged for a new project in Stanmore. The Sydney Retreat is  a new not-for-profit residential facility for recovery from alcoholism. We are currently working on the Development Application with a Pre-DA meeting scheduled with Inner West Council early next year.

Agency 2017

BTB Architecture Studio will be running a workshop at the upcoming Australia & New Zealand Student Architecture Congress. The workshop will focus on the need for Affordable Housing within the Inner West of Sydney. More details can be found at the Agency 2017 website.

Kirribilli Apartment Building Upgrade

BTB Architecture Studio recently partnered with Buildcorp Asset Solutions to provide a proposal for ‘Building Betterment’.

The proposal considered the following:

  • Essential services upgrade
  • Balcony additions
  • Façade renovation
  • Car stacker viability 

Concept & Feasibility Design is anticipated to commence in early 2018.

Rockdale House

BTB Architecture Studio have been engaged to design alterations & additions to an existing freestanding weatherboard clad cottage in Rockdale. The proposal explores a split-level solution, adding a generous living level up from the ground floor level of the existing cottage and a lower level of accommodation that connects the house to the backyard.  

The proposal will begin construction in early 2018.

Our project in Earlwood is due for completion later this year.

Construction is well underway for our Marrickville House project. The project involves significant alterations and additions and is due for completion later this year.

BTB Architecture Studio

Paul Berkemeier and Brent Trousdale have worked together for over 20 years. Over this time they have completed a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from residential projects of all scales and budgets, major public galleries, museums and event facilities, heritage restoration and adaptive re-use, through to creative building remediation projects. In 2017, Paul and Brent combined with Jason Border to form Berkemeier | Trousdale | Border : BTB Architecture Studio, consolidating their respective skills and experience bases.
